Millions of people throughout America, as well as the rest of the world, were devastated and shocked this week when ABC made the decision to cancel Tim Allen’s conservative sitcom, “Last Man Standing”, despite the fact that it had some of the top ratings. But now, after the breakdown of the tragic news, fans have been given some good news after all.
According to reports, the 20th Century Fox studio is now looking for a new home for Allen’s sitcom, in which he is going to play a proud supporter of Donald Trump, and who will reportedly, mock liberals on regular basis. The presidents of 20th Century Fox Television, Jonnie Davis, and Howard Kurtzman have both confirmed that they are currently looking for another network who would take “Last Man Standing,” which ran for 6 seasons before it was canceled.
“We’re starting to explore that,” Kurtzman said. “If it’s not going to go forward at ABC, of course, Jonnie and I are hopeful that we can find another home for it.”
They also stated that they were shocked as well when they heard that ABC pulled the plug on the beloved comedy.
“That’s the one that’s really an open sore right now,” Davis said.
“We really were expecting a pickup,” Kurtzman added. “The fact that we didn’t get a pickup was a surprise and a disappointment. I think no one was more disappointed than Tim Allen, such a huge star with such a huge following.”
As soon as the news of the show being canceled broke out, a Change.org petition was launched by fans and it went viral, collecting more than 345,000 signatures in just under a week. This fan support outpour is what caught the attention of 20th Century Fox.
“We know how passionate our fans are, and we’re seeing that now,” said Davis.
