This Monday, the House Republicans came together to break the bad news to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and demand that she recuse herself from hearing of President Trump’s travel ban this fall.

According to reports, a letter has been sent by 58 Republicans this Thursday, in which it is stated that Ginsburg is required by law to recuse herself from the case as a result of making comments about Trump during an interview last July.

“There is no doubt that your impartiality can be reasonably questioned; indeed, it would be unreasonable not to question your impartiality,” wrote the GOP lawmakers, adding that Failure to recuse yourself from any such case would violate the law and undermine the credibility of the Supreme Court of the United States.”

The comments which Ginsburg made on CNN with host Joan Biskupic last July about President Trump stemmed the concerns. Ginsburg said: “He is a faker,” adding “He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego.”

Ginsburg later regretted making the comments, but despite her second thought, President Trump still called for her to resign, writing on Twitter:

Even Rep. Ron DeSantis went on Twitter to claim that the Justice should recuse herself, writing:

Do you think she should let it go and recuse herself for her suspicious comments?
