It has just been reported that Fox News has permanently scrubbed the namesake of Bill O’Reilly from “The O’Reilly Factor” just several hours after they announced that he has been dropped from the network.

The reports stated that the Wednesday 8 p.m. program which has been long known under the name of “The O’Reilly Factor” has just been dubbed “The Factor”, and O’Reilly’s name had been removed from the on-screen graphics. The new host of the show is currently Dana Perino, who was one of the three most likely successors to Bill.

But even Perino could not hold back at the end of the broadcast, throwing an ode to O’Reilly and calling his departure with the network, “the end of an era.”

“[O’Reilly] is an incredibly talented broadcaster who raised the bar for interviewers everywhere,” Perino said. “We wish him the very best.”

And just as Fox News announced on Wednesday that O’Reilly will not be returning to the show amid a sexual harassment controversy, millions of fans from all over the nation were left devastated, wondering if there would be another host worthy of filling the hole in the network.

We wish only the best to Bill O’Reilly, and we are very interested to see what he is going to do after his painful departure.
