A massive manhunt is currently taking place for a traitor inside the spy agency, as both the CIA and FBI are conducting a joint investigation into one of the worst security breaches in American history, which exposed thousands of top-secret documents.

The documents contained information about tools used by the CIA to penetrate smartphones, computer systems and smart televisions, as Agency found weaknesses in these smart technologies and exploited them without reporting to the manufacturers.

According to sources, they are looking for an insider who happens to be either a contractor or a CIA employee who had physical access to the material, however, they haven’t provided any details about how the material was taken or when it was stolen.

Most of the material was classified and stored in a secured section of the intelligence agencies, but despite this, hundreds of people would still have access to the information. The CIA now believes that the insider passed information to WikiLeaks, which published the trove of information back in March on their website.

Just last week, Mike Pompeo, the CIA Director, railed against WikiLeaks and its founder, Julian Assange.

“It is time to call out WikiLeaks for what it really is: A non-state hostile intelligence service often abetted by state actors like Russia,” he said.

Wikileaks has previously stated that it had obtained the CIA information from former contractors which worked for the U.S. intelligence, but in this case it is not known who could have been the one to blame. The CIA has not made any comments on the authenticity of the WikiLeaks disclosures.
