The Chicago Police Board Chairwoman Lori Lightfoot admitted the crime problem of the city was beyond what the city could handle, during an interview with National Public Radio.

“We need to have more federal gun prosecutions in Chicago. Our federal partners from the U.S. attorney’s office, the ATF, the FBI need to be much more invested in this overall strategy. Chicago Police Department cannot tackle this issue by itself,” Lightfoot said. “This is not a problem that we’re going to arrest our way out of.”

And she is 100% right. According to reports from CNN, the windy city saw 762 murders just last year, making it the deadliest year in a span of 20 years.

Other reports from the Chicago Tribune state that the murder rate for the country’s 30 biggest cities was expected to go up by 14% just last year, according to the Brennan Center for Justice.

Lightfoot also added that Chicago was “in a state of crisis” and that it needed “all hands on deck” as the killings in Chicago accounted for 43.7% of the overall increase, which is nearly a half.

Lightfoot made her remarks in less than a week after the horror story of the four attackers who kidnapped and tortured a disabled teen for hours came out.

And she agreed with with him.

Government involvement won’t help Chicago get out of the mud it Is in, as Democrat gun control policies have failed badly to the point where Chicago leaders are turning to the federal government for help.

They must be in pain as this means they’re surrendering and asking for help from Trump and his administration, to do what they’re incapable of doing. This sure is humiliating for the Democrats, bud this move indicates a growing perception of Trump’s competence.
